JAMES W. ADKISSON (1819-1882) buried at Swan Pond Methodist Cemetery, married (1841) Elizabeth Ann Margraves.
WILLIAM W. ADKISSON (abt 1822-buried in Civil War Cemetery in Chattanooga) married (1846) Carolina Dugger who was born at Reece Station, GA.
NANCY ADKISSON (abt 1825) married (1842) Hugh M. Severs
ELIZABETH T. ADKISSON (1826) married (1852) Capt. James G. Roberts (1828-1898), son of Robert Samuel Roberts and Margaret (Gardner) Capt. Jim was slender and walked with a military bearing. Elizabeth was portly. Two of their sons, James F. and Absolom were of gigantic proportions and men with great strength. Ab worked for Joe Solomon, the contractor. Elizabeth and Capt. Jim are buried in the Swan Pond Methodist Cemetery.
MELINDA ADKISSON (1827-1921 in Hester Cemetery in Sugar Grove Valley) married (1853) Samuel H. Dickey.
WILKERSON P. ADKISSON (1831- ) married first (1853), Martha R. Green. He married secondly (1866), Caroline Green. He fought in the Civil War, Company H, 5th TN, and is buried in Williams Cemetery.
YERBY ADKISSON (1834-1864) married (1857) Nancy Jane Underwood. He served in the Union Army, Company H, 3rd Reg., TN Inf. He died May 14, 1864 when a fragment of a shell hit him in the head in the battle of Resaca, GA.
MARY J. ADKISSON (1836-1907) married (1857) Thomas L. Roberts (1834-) who was the son of Brashear Roberts. Thomas fought in the Civil War, and was a Deacon in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Lawnville. Their children were: Absolom B. (1858), married Annie Childress; Margaret (1862), Rebecca J. (1866) married Sheriff Richard S. Ladd; Thomas O. (1867), Sarah A. (1870) married (1887) Henry Marion Hedgecock; Laura Ann (1871) married (1892) George M. Graham; Yerby Adkisson (1874) married (1904) Myrtle Graham; Dixie (1875) married Charles Wyatt; Susan William (1878) married (1896) William Thomas Hedgecock; Mattie (1881)
SARAH ANN ADKISSON (1837) married (1857) John M. McKinney
MARGARET C. ADKISSON (1839) married (1858) Isham Young.
ABSOLOM ADKISSON JR. (abt 1843) may have gone to Maury Co. TN.
Absolom Sr. died February 18, 1882, and Sarah died October 9, 1891. They are buried in the Methodist Cemetery at Swan Pond, Roane County, TN
