1. MICHAEL HUFFAKER was born 1730 in Manheim township, York County, Pennsylvania, and died Abt. 1815 in Virginia. He married CATHERINE KITSBY or KEGELI, daughter of GEORGE KEGELI and CHRISTINA RAUU. She was born 1736 probably in Germany, and died 1812 in Knox County, TN.

Note: This report follows only the line from George Michael Huffaker. This couple are known to have had 12 children. Six are reported born in York County, Pennsylvania and six are reported born after moving to Washington County, VA.

2. GEORGE MICHAEL HUFFAKER was born August 07, 1757 possibly at Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania, and died November 01, 1838 at Knox County and buried at the Seven Island Cemetery. He married (1) AGATHA LEE on June 08, 1780 at Washington County, VA. She was born November 08, 1762 in probably Washington County, VA, and died November 08, 1802 at Knox County, TN. He married (2) MARY “POLLY” CRESWELL 1804. She was born July 14, 1776.
George Michael Huffaker is on the list of soldiers who were at the Battle of Kings Mountain during the Revolutionary War.

3. CATHERINE HUFFAKER was born April 19, 1788 in near the French Broad River near Seven Islands, Knox County, TN, and died March 21, 1854. She in buried in an unnamed cemetery near the Milton Hill Dam entrance. She married JOHN H. PICKEL March 04, 1807 in Knox County, Tennessee. Marriage date may be March 7, 1807, son of CHRISTIAN PICKEL and CATHERINE PUFFENBARGER. He was born November 27, 1781 in Augusta Co. VA, and died February 13, 1847 in buried in an unnamed cemetery near the Milton Hill Dam entrance.

v. WILLIAM HAYES PICKEL, b. April 18, 1816, Tenn; d. November 07, 1895, Loudon County, TN. He married MARY ANN HINES DURRETT December 08, 1839 in Anderson County, TN. She was born July 23, 1818, and died July 03, 1895 in Loudon County, TN.
Note: A descendant of this line, Thomas Wesley Pickel, was an educator and served on the Tennessee State Board of Education for many years. The Education Department at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN is housed in the Warf-Pickel building, a building that was named for him.

5. JESSIE P. PICKEL was born May 20, 1824 in Roane County, Tennessee, and died November 16, 1876. He is buried at the New Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Bear Creek Road, Roane County, Tennessee. He married MARY EMELINE CARTER October 09, 1849 in Roane County, Tennessee, daughter of THOMAS CARTER and ELENOR WALKER. She was born in Roane County, TN, and died 1895.

i. BETHILDA. PICKEL, b. July 18, 1850, Roane County, TN; d. July 26, 1923, Loudon County, TN. She married ISAAC W. FREELS November 15, 1866 in Roane County, TN, son of ISAAC FREELS and MARGARET. He was born March 28, 1845, and died July 26, 1920 in Loudon County, TN. They had 12 children.
ii. WILLIAM J. "BILL" PICKEL, b. September 01, 1851, Roane County, TN; d. December 19, 1908, Loudon County, TN. He married AMANDA ANNIE HARVEY January 04, 1875, daughter of JAMES HARVEY and ELIZABETH BIRDWELL. She was born August 08, 1850, and died November 09, 1910 in Loudon County, TN. They had nine (9) children.
iii. MARY ELIZABETH "LIZZIE" PICKEL, b. May 15, 1853, Roane County, TN; d. May 13, 1900. She married ARCHIBALD M. MCGILL May 17, 1883 in Roane County, TN. He was born July 1852. They had six or seven children.

vii. JESSIE LEE PICKEL, b. March 15, 1869, Roane County, TN; d. May 14, 1934, Loudon County, TN. He married RACHEAL LORRAINE "LULA" STALLCUPP. She was born September 19, 1877, and died December 25, 1972 in Loudon County, TN.
viii. ELLA PICKEL, b. March 1873, Roane County , TN; d. 1948, Roane County, TN. She had six children.

6. MARTHA CLEMENTINE WALLER was born 1846, and died in probably Texas. She married WILLIAM MARION RAYBURN May 14, 1868 in Roane County, TN. He was born 1837, and died in probably Texas.

She married JOHN COLUMBUS HEMBREE January 07, 1875 in Roane County, Tennessee, son of ELI HEMBREE and NANCY BALLEW.
