1. COLONEL ALFRED LUNSFORD OLIVER was born January 29, 1785 in Caswell County, NC, and died Bet. 1837 - 1839 in Newton County, MO. He married MILLY BOYD October 08, 1803 in Anderson County, TN, daughter of WILLIAM BOYD. She was born Abt. 1785, and died June 12, 1837 in Newton County, MO.

Military service: Captain in Col. John Brown's Regiment of East Tennessee Volunteer

2. AGNES OLIVER (ALFRED LUNSFORD) was born June 01, 1816 in Anderson County, TN, and died May 03, 1894 in Lawrence County, MO. She married JOHN PINKNEY OSBORN January 29, 1838 in Barry County, MO. He was born December 25, 1805 in South Carolina, and died February 05, 1874 in Lawrence County, MO.

Notes for AGNES OLIVER:

According to "Goodspeed's 1888 History of Newton, Lawrence, Barry and McDonald Counties" -  "In 1830 Col. Lunsford Oliver (Agnes' father) and his family were the first actual settlers within what is now Newton County, making their home on Shoal River, three miles east of a point northeast of the site of Newtonia, where he sold the first lot of dry goods ever offered for sale to white people west of Springfield. From this settlement the name "Oliver's Prairie" is derived." According to the Oliver Springs, Tennessee Historical Society Lunsford was a Captain in Col. John Brown's Regiment of East Tennessee Volunteers.

By 1880 Agnes was widowed and running a boarding house in Pierce City, Missouri.

Her obituary was carried in the Neosho Times newspaper.

Notes for JOHN PINKNEY OSBORN:

Goodspeed's 1888 History of Newton County indicates that John settled in Jollification (later shortened to Jolly) located in Barry County, Missouri and operated a hotel. In 1873 a survey was conducted that determined Jolly was within the boundaries of Newton County. John was the postmaster of Capps Creek in Newton County in 1856 and according to "Genealogical Abstracts from The Newton County News 1890-1892" he was the first sheriff of Jasper County. At the time of his death he was working as a clerk in a retail store in Pierce City. It is speculated that he was working in the store of his nephew, Robert P. Osborn.

Between 1848 and 1860 John purchased three properties from the United States of America. On November 1, 1848 two Land Patents were issued to him for the purchase of two forty acre plots of land in Jasper County, Missouri. On August, 1, 1860 a third Land Patent was issued to him for his purchase of forty acres of land in Barry County, Missouri.

John's death is noted in the Springfield, Missouri Newspaper Abstracts for 1865-1875.

A copy of the marriage record of Agnes and John has been acquired from the Missouri State Archives. According to the document they were married in a ceremony presided over by C. G. Cowan, Justice of the Peace for the Township of Mount Pleasant. John's surname was spelled "Ozburn" on this document.

3. AMANDA CHENAULT OSBORN (AGNES OLIVER, ALFRED LUNSFORD) was born June 04, 1840 in Missouri, and died 1908 in Missouri. She married JOHN H. WOOLDRIDGE, son of L. WOOLDRIDGE and LAURA WILLIAMSON. He was born November 19, 1833 in Franklin, TN, and died 1896 in Missouri.

According to the 1900 Federal census for Saint Louis, Missouri, Amanda was living in the home of her son-in-law, Eugene Babington. According to the census Amanda had given birth to five children, two of whom were living.

4. MYRA ELIZABETH OSBORN (AGNES2 OLIVER, ALFRED LUNSFORD1) was born June 16, 1844 in Missouri, and died May 14, 1919. She married JAMES SCOTT DAY February 03, 1870 in Newton County, MO. He was born April 06, 1848 in Ohio, and died November 24, 1916.

On the 1870 Federal census for Lawrence County, Missouri, she was enumerated as Myra Hammer.

The 1870 Federal census for Newton County, Missouri tells us that a twenty-six year old weaver from Ohio named, John E. Ault, was living in the home of James and his wife Myra.

According to the 1880 Federal census of Jasper County, Missouri both of James' parents were born in Pennsylvania.
