Know all men by these presents that I William C. Tallent Administrator of the Estate of Basel Roberts deceased late of Dent County State of Missouri do constitute and appoint Mr. G. A. Gunther of Kingston Roane County East Tennessee my lawful agent and Attorney...whatsoever may be due or coming to the deceased Basel Roberts in Roane County East Tennessee but especially the Estate of money due the said Basel Roberts from the Estate of his Father John Roberts deceased late of Roane County Tennessee by reason of him the said Basel Roberts being the son of said John Roberts and heir at law of the Estate of the said John Roberts deceased...this the 6th day of May AD 1878.

Bazzel Roberts died February 17, 1877 and was one of the first persons to be buried in the Stone Hill Cemetery. Many members of the Roberts, Byrd and Tallent families would be buried there in later years. George Byrd died May 29, 1878 and was buried beside Bazzel in the Stone Hill Cemetery.
