JOHN ROUDON -- Jan 1817--will....."Considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of perfect mind and memory. Blessed be god for the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows, that is to say, first my Request is that all my lawful Debts be paid with my Burial Expences. Secondly, I give to my three sons & one Daughter & one Daughter in law, namely ABRAHAM, LABEN, JOHN & TABBITH & SUSEY formerly wife to my Son JOSE deceased one dollar in cash each to be levied out of my Estate and by my Executors paid, when applied to for after my decease, Namely ABRAHAM ROUDON of Roane County and State of Tennessee and JOHN HOLLAND of Rhea County and aforesaid State whom I appoint my Sole Executors to my Estate, making null and void all others by me appointed here tofore; also to my Servant Girl NEOMA I freely give and bestow her freedom for life for ever herself with the offspring of her body forever with the balance of my worldly Estate. Also do make null and void any other will or wills heretofore by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this 23rd day of March 1816. Assigned Sealed & delivered by me JOHN ROUDON SENIOR farmer in the County of Roane & State of Tennessee to be his las will and Testament in presence of us who at his Request & in his presence have hereunto Subscribed our Names as witnesses to the same.

John (ROUDEN) ROWDEN in the will of 1817 was born abt. 1738. He was married to Sarah ECHOLS, dau. of Abraham ECHOLS and Sarah HUBBARD
Their sons were Abraham ROWDEN married to Rachel CHEEK dau. of Hardin

Laben ROWDEN married to Millie ADAMS dau. of Robert ADAMS & Mourning PIGG
(my line) Joseph ROWDEN married to Susannah ADAMS in Pittsylvania Co., VA in 1790.
Tabitha ROWDEN married (1)Glover CRANE (2)Hopkins DANIEL
My cousins and co-researchers say that Laben & Millie ADAMS ROWDEN are the parents of Hubbard ROWDEN and Lot ROWDEN.
Tabitha ROWDEN CRANE (the widow CRANE) married Hopkins DANIEL in Wilkes Co., GA in 1800. Hopkins DANIEL was a cousin. His parents were James DANIEL and Anne ECHOLS. Anne ECHOLS DANIEL was a first cousin of Sarah ECHOLS.
Along with Jasper Co., GA, some of these family members were in Wilkes
Co., GA also.
